Privacy Policy

Volt Discipline ("Volt," "we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile application and this website. This policy describes how we handle personal information in line with platform rules and our commitment to transparency, including Google Play's expectations for privacy and user data. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Effective date: April 3, 2026

Who this applies to

This policy applies to visitors of this website and users of the Volt Discipline mobile app (including beta or test builds we distribute). It does not apply to third-party sites or services we link to; their policies govern your use of those services.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Volt, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

  • Account and profile. If you create an account, we may collect identifiers such as email, username, authentication tokens, and profile settings you choose to provide.
  • App activity and rewards. Data related to shielded apps, Unlock Minutes, discipline points, training progress, challenges, and similar in-app events needed to operate the product.
  • Location and movement (sensitive on mobile). For features such as GPS-verified walks, we may collect location or movement-related data when you grant permission and start an activity. You can revoke location access in your device settings; some features will not work without it.
  • Camera and imagery (sensitive on mobile). For camera-verified exercises, the app may access the camera when you grant permission and begin verification. Processing may occur on your device, on our servers, or both, depending on the implementation we use to detect completion fairly and prevent abuse. We do not use the camera for unrelated purposes.
  • Social and rankings. If you use social maps, friends, or leaderboards, we may process display names, activity summaries, division or rank, and related metadata needed to show those features to you and other users you interact with.
  • Device and diagnostics. Device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data to keep the app reliable and secure.
  • Support communications. Information you send when you contact us (for example via support@voltdiscipline.com), including the content of your message and your contact details.
  • Website visitors. When you browse this site, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as IP address, approximate region, browser type, referring URL, and timestamps. We use this to operate and protect the site.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Volt Discipline;
  • Verify eligible activities (for example walks or reps) and award Unlock Minutes and related rewards fairly;
  • Operate social and competitive features you choose to use, and enforce fair play;
  • Send service-related messages (such as security notices) and respond to support requests;
  • Monitor abuse, fraud, and policy violations, and comply with legal obligations;
  • Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to improve the product (we do not sell your personal information).

Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who assist us (for example cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, or customer support), bound by confidentiality and processing agreements where required;
  • Authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the public;
  • A successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice as required by law.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it according to our internal schedules and technical capabilities.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong device passcodes and keeping your account credentials private.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify your request before responding.

California residents. If the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies, you have specific rights regarding personal information we collect. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. You may request disclosure or deletion as provided by law.

Children

Volt Discipline is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers of personal data subject to GDPR or similar laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. For material changes to how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice as appropriate (for example in-app or by email).
