Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Volty Habits ("Volty Habits," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile app, beta builds, and website.
Effective date: July 24, 2026
Information we process
The information depends on the features you choose to use:
- Account and profile data: email address, username or display name, authentication identifiers, profile settings, and account status.
- Progress and app activity: shield settings, training progress, completed activities, Unlock Minutes, Volty Points, streaks, rewards, feature usage, and similar events needed to operate the app.
- Location and route data: foreground location, coordinates, distance, accuracy, and timestamps when you start GPS walks, coin runs, or location-based map features and grant permission.
- Camera and movement data: live camera frames and detected movement signals when you start a supported camera-verified exercise. Camera access is not used in the background. Live frame analysis is designed to happen on your device; completion results and rewards may be saved to your account.
- Voice and coaching content: microphone audio, transcripts, prompts, and coaching responses when you choose an AI voice-coaching or reflective feature.
- Subscription data: purchase status, product identifier, entitlement status, and related transaction metadata. Apple or Google processes payment details; we do not receive your full card number.
- Social data: display name, friend relationships, friend requests, gifts, rankings, and progress summaries needed for social and leaderboard features.
- Device and technical data: app version, device type, operating system, IP address, timestamps, and security or error information generated when the app or website is used.
- Support messages: your contact details and the contents of messages sent to support@voltyhabits.pro.
Device permissions
Volty Habits asks for permissions at the point a feature needs them. Location supports GPS activities and maps; camera supports exercise verification; microphone supports optional voice coaching; and screen-time or app-shield permissions support blocking features where the operating system allows them.
You can change permissions in your device settings. If you deny or revoke a permission, the related feature may not function, but you can continue using other available parts of the app.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, app shielding, training, rewards, and support;
- verify eligible activities and prevent fraudulent rewards;
- provide subscriptions and restore purchases;
- operate optional maps, social features, and voice coaching;
- secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app and website;
- comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use sensitive permissions to build advertising profiles.
Service providers
Some features require information to leave your device. The main providers currently used by Volty Habits are:
- Convex: backend hosting, database, account authentication, progress, rewards, and social data.
- Mapbox: map tiles and map functionality. Device location services provide GPS coordinates used by eligible activities.
- RevenueCat: subscription entitlement and purchase-status management.
- OpenAI: optional AI voice coaching, transcription, and reflective-session responses when you use those features.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, in-app purchases, and operating-system permissions and services.
- Railway: hosting for this website and related technical request logs.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may add or replace providers as the product changes and will update this policy when that materially changes how information is handled.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide your account and features, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by data type. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where technically and legally feasible.
To request account or data deletion, email support@voltyhabits.pro. We may ask you to verify account ownership.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority. We will respond as required by applicable law after verifying your request.
Where UK, EEA, or Swiss law applies, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests such as security and product improvement, consent where requested, and legal obligations. Information may be processed in other countries using safeguards required by applicable law.
Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private, use a strong device passcode, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Children
Volty Habits is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The revised policy will appear here with a new effective date. We will provide additional notice when required for material changes.
